For those of us looking for a long-lasting hairstyle that grows out perfectly, the time has come for balayage! Becoming ever more popular in its gentle, subtle yet striking progression from the root to the tip of your hair, it's not hard to see why balayage continues to be so popular.

The colour, when done by one of our professional award winning hair stylists at Pazam, is applied manually in slender lines towards the roots, becoming wider as they gradually flow from the top to the tips of your hair. It generally works best using your base colour to begin with, and staying close to that shade to reduce the effects of fading.

The benefits of not having a stark division between your coloured hair and natural hair are many, but most of all balayage reduces the broken contrast between different hues. Generally speaking it's a better idea to lift the hair with lighter colour than to try to darken it with this method.
