Picking the Right Hair Brush

Nothing is more important when styling and looking after your hair than picking the right tools for the job. Your choice in the humble hairbrush can really make a difference when it comes to perfecting and controlling your hair's look and style. The kind of brush you should pick depends on your hair type, or just call into your Galway hairdressers at Pazam for expert advice!

Straighter Hair

You can use either a paddle or round brush for straight hair, it's one of the easiest hairstyles to keep under control.

Curly Hair

Stick with a small round brush for curly hair, getting the most out of your rolling locks.

Wet Hair

A comb is fine for short or middle length wet hair but ideally you should use a widely spaced brush or one with flexible bristles for wet hair to avoid putting undue strain on your hair.

Middle Length or Fine Hair

Pick a round hairbrush for middling hair length to help you to take advantage of some of the shapes and forms which this length or fine hair type enables. This lets you curl, shape and mould your hair as you dry and style it, making it much easier to control.

Longer Hair Lengths

Try a paddle brush or a soft, wide tooth brush to avoid tugging at longer hair. You don't want to stress long hair either so it's ideal for brushing through tangled tresses!

Short Hair

You're probably best to stick with a vented brush for shorter hair lengths, since that will provide a way for your blow dryer to get right to the roots of your hair. This helps to dry your hair more quickly which is great when applying styling gel.

I recommend Kaleigh! Got my hair done for a basketball event the first weekend in November. I struggle to keep curls in my hair but Kaleigh did a fantastic job and it lasted the whole night without dropping at all. Delighted with it and will definitely be back next time I’m in Galway! Sorry we forgot to take a photo with Joanna and post it to your page....

Pamela did my hair on the day of my wedding. As it was such an important day I took no chances, I knew I was in safe hands and trust her 100%. She has such an artistic flair when it comes to hair and has the ability to turn an idea into reality in no time. Without hesitation, I would recommend Pazam to anyone looking for a quality hairdresser!
